When working with clients, gaining clarity on how their experiences, behaviors, and relational patterns interconnect is vital. A Network Conceptualization Plan (NCP) is a visual tool that helps organize session information and identify meaningful connections from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) perspective. Using principles from Relational Frame Theory (RFT), this method allows clinicians to discern patterns and focus interventions for greater therapeutic impact.

Step 1: Gathering Session Information

Start by collecting session data—the key themes or TEAMS. The thoughts, emotions, associations, memories, and sensations as well as behaviors. These represent the primary topics of discussion or areas of concern raised during the session. Examples might include:
